Bantuan Awal Persekolahan (BAP) ialah bantuan yang bertujuan untuk meringankan beban perbelanjaan persekolahan anak-anak yang ditanggung oleh ibu bapa pada awal tahun.
Baru-baru ini Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia ada membuat pengumuman mengenai bulan pembayaran bantuan ini kepada murid-murid sekolah.
Apa Itu Bantuan Awal Persekolahan (BAP)?
Bantuan Awal Persekolahan (BAP) mula diperkenalkan pada tahun 2012 bertujuan untuk meringankan beban perbelanjaan persekolahan anak-anak yang ditanggung oleh ibu bapa atau penjaga terutamanya pada awal tahun. Bantuan ini diberikan kepada murid-murid Tahun 1 hingga Tingkatan 5 atau yang setaraf dengannya dari kalangan keluarga yang berpendapatan Isi Rumah Kasar RM3,000.00 dan ke bawah.

Bantuan Awal Persekolahan (BAP) akan disalurkan kepada sekolah bermula bulan Januari 2024.
Bayaran itu akan diagihkan kepada murid secara tunai atau kredit ke akaun masing-masing.
Jumlah Peruntukan Bantuan Awal Persekolahan
Belanjawan 2024 memperuntukan RM788,130,000 khusus untuk BAP. Bantuan ini akan memberi manfaat kepada 5,254,200 murid seluruh negara.
Jumlah Bayaran
Murid yang menerima BAP akan diberi bantuan sebanyak RM150.00 bagi seorang murid secara sekaligus (one-off).
Syarat Kelayakan
Pemberian BAP kepada murid-murid dibuat berdasarkan kriteria-kriteria berikut:
- Murid warganegara Malaysia (perlu dibuktikan dengan sijil lahir/mykid/mykad yang disahkan atau apa-apa dokumen yang dikeluarkan oleh Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara Malaysia) ;
- Murid Tahun 1 hingga Tingkatan 5 atau yang setaraf dengannya yang berasal dari kalangan isi rumah berpendapatan bulanan KASAR sebanyak RM3,000.00 dan ke bawah pada tahun semasa. Pendapatan KASAR bulanan adalah pendapatan yang mengambil kira gaji hakiki/pokok dan elaun-elaun tetap sahaja. Elaun lebih masa dan elaun-elaun yang bersifat tidak tetap tidak boleh diambil kira sebagai pendapatan KASAR bulanan ;
- Bantuan ini diberikan kepada murid-murid yang bersekolah di Sekolah Kerajaan (SK), Sekolah Bantuan Kerajaan (SBK), Sekolah Agama Rakyat, Sekolah Agama Negeri dan Sekolah Swasta (selain sekolah antarabangsa).
Cara Pembayaran
Bantuan akan disalurkan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM) secara berperingkat terus ke:
- Akaun Kumpulan Wang Kerajaan (KWK) sekolah; ATAU
- Akaun Khas Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah (PPD) bagi sekolah yang tidak mempunyai Akaun KWK
